Fun Christmas Games

Christmas Name that Tune
Play bits of Christmas songs and have everyone guess what they are. This could be a great Christmas office party game by getting everyone to participate. Have a prize for the guest that got the most right, and maybe a booby prize for the one that got the least.

Mystery Stocking
Divide the group in to teams of 3-5 people per team. Give each team a Christmas stocking full of holiday objects that has been tied shut with ribbon. (Get the stockings ready ahead of time by filling them loosely with small non-fragile items- candy canes, plastic holly/mistletoe, tree ornaments, etc.) Set a timer and give each team 3 minutes to feel the stocking and write down all the objects that they can identify by feeling them through the stocking. The team with the most correct items wins.

Twenty Questions Christmas Style
Think of an object or item related to Christmas. Now have the children take turns asking questions to try to figure out what you are thinking of. You could have each child take a turn thinking of something. This is a very simple but entertaining children’s Christmas party game.

Taboo Word Fun
This game is played often at baby and bridal showers. Here, we just give it a holiday twist. As each family member arrives, give them an item like a bell or small ornament. Tell them what the taboo word will be during the party. Choose a word that people are likely to say like “tree”, or “present” or “holiday”. If anyone catches another person using these words, they get to take their item. The game will continue throughout the party until the end. At the end, count up the items to see who has the most. The person with the most items is the winner. Remember to suspend the taboo word rule during the games as the taboo word is likely to be used a lot at that time.

Christmas Snow Flake Rip
This game always provides lots of laughter. You will need the kids and a few adults for this game. Hand each child a piece of paper. Tell them they have to make a snowflake out of the paper by ripping it. Heres the hard part, they have to do this behind there backs. They are not aloud to look at the paper until they are done. When they are done, have them write their name on the back and arrange them on the table. Take your adults and have them judge the best one. You could even have them judge the best two. The winners pick a present out of the present box.

Eggnog Race - Cristmas Fun Games
Put a bowl of eggnog in the center of the room, and put one cup for each player in a circle a few feet away, (put the cups closer for younger children, further away for older ones). Give each player a spoon. When the adult calls out “Go!” each child has to run back and forth from the bowl to their cup carrying spoonfuls of eggnog. Neither the bowl nor the cups are to be moved. The first person to fill his or her cup with eggnog is the winner.

Stocking Memory - Xmas Fun
Have everyone sit in a circle. The first person says “I have a Christmas stocking, and in it I find a _____.”, and fills in the blank with an object that starts with ”A”. The then next person says “I have a Christmas stocking, and in it I find a ____ and a ____.”, where the first blank is the same A-item that the first person named, and the second blank is a new item starting with the next letter in the alphabet “B”. The next person has to name the A-item, name the B-item, and add a C-item, and so on. When someone can't remember the items, they are out. Keep going around the circle until only one person is left. That person is the winner.

Find Your Partner - Funny Game
This game is intended for parties where a gift exchange has been prepared. Before the party, cut pieces of garland into various lengths having two of every length. The guests' objective is to find their "partner" with the garland of the same length. When it comes time for the gift exchange, the pairs give their gifts to each other.
